Matt Kuchar Earns 2nd Win of the Year at The 2013 Memorial

Another win is in the books for our Fantasy Odds staff this week as Matt Kuchar notches his second TOUR victory of the year and jumps up to the prestigious World Ranked No. 4 spot. In last week’s fantasy picks, we warned fans to, “lookout for Kuch when he’s got the hot hand…” Now in 2nd place in FedExCup points, Matt Kuchar looks to be an early favorite of ours heading into Merion for 2013.
Kuch dropped a 20 footer on 18 where he only needed a 2 putt to seal the deal. This is sweet redemption for Kuchar after losing the 54 hole lead last week to finish runner up to Boo Weekly at the Crowne Plaza Invitational. The victory was sweet for Kuchar who later told the media how he felt about the win when he said: “To walk off the green and to greet Mr. Nicklaus and have him congratulate me, that’s something I’ll certainly never forget.”
Meanwhile, current FedExCup points leader Tiger Woods, exhibited quite the opposite experience, carding one of the worst rounds of his career with a 7-over 79 at Muirfield Saturday afternoon. In the end Woods finished 20 strokes behind Kuchar and now has him hot on his heels at with only 423 FedExCup points separating the two. Watch here for more on Tiger’s trouble’s and Kuchar’s dominant win at the 2013 Memorial:
