NOW: Brooks Koepka Out of Presidents Cup, Rickie Fowler in

Brooks Koepka has officially pulled himself off the USA roster for the upcoming Presidents Cup. He made his official announcement via a post on his IG.  It didn’t take long for Slick Rick Fowler to accept the invitation to fill Brooks’ shoes.

Brooks stated “Since my injury in Korea, I have been in constant contact with Tiger and assured him that I was making every effort to be 100% in time for the Presidents Cup in Australia. However, I need more time to heal.” This doesn’t come as a surprise as most fans expected him to pull out.

Some of you may have seen already from the release but I‘m humbled and excited to be given the chance to represent Team USA in this year’s @presidentscup. These team events have been some of the most memorable weeks of my career. To be picked by @tigerwoods to compete with him and the rest of the team is very special. It is impossible to replace @bkoepka but I can assure my teammates and American golf fans that I will be prepared and ready to do my part to bring home the Presidents Cup! 🏆🇺🇸

The event is scheduled for December 12, which is right around the corner. I’m looking forward to watching this stacked USA team take on the world.
