PGA Tour’s Website Downplays Brooks Koepka’s PGA Championship Victory
Members of the PGA Tour were gracious in defeat and in praising LIV Golf’s Brooks Koepka for capturing the PGA Championship on Sunday.
The same cannot be said for the websites for the PGA Tour and PGA of America, which hosts the major tournament.
A look at the top of the PGA Tour’s site on Monday morning featured cult hero Michael Block along with stories on Scottie Scheffler regaining the top spot in the Official World Golf Ranking and a preview of this coming weekend’s Charles Schwab Challenge. The only reference to Koepka was on the leaderboard to the right of the top stories.

At PGA.com, the main story was also on Block. In fact, if you searched the entire home page for a reference to Koepka via the Ctrl+F shortcut, the results read “0/0.”
To the PGA Tour’s credit, they did send a tweet to acknowledge Koepka’s win.

And Block was a huge story—his slam-dunk hole-in-one dominated the headlines. Both Koepka and Block embraced after the final hole.

Meantime, after the win, Koepka entered a new pantheon of golf greats, becoming just the fifth golfer to win at least five majors.

Defending champion Justin Thomas was among both the PGA and LIV golfers who congratulated Koepka on the victory.
Brooks dominated this day. Guy knows how to play in majors, incredibly impressive! Congrats to @BKoepka and his team on another 🏆

After a second and first in the two majors this year, Koepka is at +1400 at DraftKings to win the U.S. Open at Los Angeles Country Club in California. Only Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, and Rory McIlroy have better odds to win.
