POPCORN TIME: Tiger Tied For The Lead At ZOZO Championship
Tiger must be feeling good because he just started the ZOZO Championship in Japan with a six under 64 in the opening round. What’s even more impressive is that this is his career low, season opening round. To add to that, he did this with 3 bogeys in a row on back 9.

Tiger had a solid showing in the Japan Skins event to kick off this week as well. He seems more comfortable and confident than he has in some time. Tiger is currently tied for the lead with Gary Woodland at -6. Home town favorite Hideki Matsuyama is one shot behind at -5. Injuries and minimal competitive rounds have led to some disappointing finishes over the last few seasons. I hope this is an indication of things to come for the 2020 season. If it is, we could see him get even closer to breaking Jack’s record and being competitive in more than just the Masters.
