When you’re brand new to the game, it’s unlikely that you need 14 clubs. In fact, it’s equally likely that game improvement irons are right for you.

So rather than beating your head against the wall or, even worse, abandoning golf altogether, PXG has developed a new series of clubs that are dedicated to making the game more fun (and easy) for those just starting out.

PXG, a golf equipment brand known for its innovation and high-performance products, is thrilled to announce the launch of its new Super Game Improvement club line, the Wildcat and novel putter the PXG Black Hawk. Designed with novice and occasional golfers in mind, this exceptional new collection makes it easier to enjoy the game—whether on the golf course, at the driving range, or in a simulator.

The PXG Wildcat driver features a titanium, Ti-811, construction and a thin, high-strength titanium face insert. The high-strength, lightweight body material provides good durability and supports excellent performance, while the face is designed to optimize ball speed. With a generous 16° of loft, a standard length of 44 inches, internal perimeter weighting, and a confidence-inspiring large face and head profile, the PXG Wildcat driver is engineered for easy impact, high launch, and maximum distance.

Complementing the PXG Wildcat driver are the PXG Wildcat fairway wood (19°) and PXG Wildcat hybrid (28°). Both are designed with an AM355 high-strength body material that allows for a thinner wall geometry and a lightweight feel and also incorporates an HT1770 thin-face design for improved ball speeds and distance. Confidence-inspiring at address, these clubs feature a larger top profile and a squared face design with increased offset, making them approachable and easy to hit.

The innovative face shapes and profiles of the Wildcat woods—driver, fairway, and hybrid—showcase PXG’s dedication to enhancing playability. With increased surface area, the larger face design provides faster ball speeds and improved forgiveness. Innovative, new internal perimeter weighting is meticulously engineered further back and toward the perimeter to boost the moment of inertia (MOI). This supports a center-of-gravity (CG) placement further back in the clubhead, making it easy, even for novice players, to get the ball airborne with reduced spin.

The PXG Wildcat irons are equally impressive, featuring a body made of 431 stainless steel and PXG’s proprietary XCOR2 polymer core system—also found in their Black Ops irons. Their high-strength, ultra-thin face is crafted from maraging steel and incorporates PXG’s Power Channel technology, which helps increase launch and maximize forgiveness. The dual cavity design includes a weight-saving insert in the outer cavity and a polymer-filled inner cavity. This design effectively removes mass from the center of the club to enhance forgiveness on mishits that occur high or low on the face, while delivering low spin and high launch performance.

The PXG Wildcat golf club line—which includes nine clubs (driver, a 5-fairway wood, a 6-hybrid, a 7-iron through sand wedge and putter) and will retail for $1,499—is set to change the way novice and occasional golfers experience the game. The collection emphasizes fun and ease of use while not sacrificing the exceptional quality and performance that PXG is known for.

PXG Founder and CEO Bob Parsons said:

“With the new PXG Wildcat golf clubs, we’re excited to shake up the game for those just getting into golf. These top-notch clubs are designed to make sure that even beginners can hit the course with confidence and enjoy every moment.”

In addition to the PXG Wildcat golf club line, PXG is excited to introduce the new Black Hawk putter. The Black Hawk putter combines the optics of a traditional mallet putter with innovative design features, including the option to be fitted with four different hosels: heel-shafted, plumber’s neck, double bend, or armlock.

Constructed from multi-material components, this bold, high MOI putter features a 100% milled aerospace grade 6061 aluminum body, a 303 stainless steel rear weight plate, and a front cavity injected with PXG’s proprietary SCORTM technology. The novel milled Pyramid Face Patterns ensure ultimate consistency across the face, while precision weighting in the sole allows for fine-tuning of headweight and bias.

The innovative Pick Up Pocket feature on the sole is designed to quickly and easily pick up a golf ball off the ground. The pocket also removes unwanted mass from the center of the putter, further boosting forgiveness.

The Wildcat lineup and Black Hawk putter can be purchased either as a complete set or individually. For more information about the PXG Wildcat golf club line and the Black Hawk putter or to schedule a golf club fitting, please visit www.PXG.com.
