The Louisville Metro Police Department has released the videos it has of the arrest of Scottie Scheffler before the second round of the PGA Championship last week.

Earlier today, the LMPD held a press conference admitting that Detective Gillis, who arrested Scheffler, did not activate his body-worn camera. This was a violation of an internal policy that the Department has, and it resulted in a “corrective action” against him. Additionally, he was counseled by superiors and was also required to fill out a “failure to activate” form.

Chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel commented on the lack of use of body-worn cameras during Scheffler's arrest at a press conference on Thursday:

"Detective Gillis should have turned on his body-worn camera but did not. His failure to do so is a violation of LMPD Policy on uniforms and equipment, subject category – Body Worn Camera…Detective Gillis did not have his bodyworn camera operationally ready as required by our policy. He was performing a law enforcement action as defined in our policy.”

Scheffler Arrest Videos Released

The first video the public saw was footage released by ESPN's Jeff Darlington, who was just feet behind Scheffler as he was handcuffed and walked to the back of a patrol car.

That footage can be seen here:

This morning, the Louisville Metro PD released two additional videos of Scheffler's arrest. These came from a light pole camera and a dash camera of a patrol car that was on the scene. These both can be seen below:
