If you thought you couldn’t get enough of Brooks Koepka, you’re in luck because another Koepka is coming to America. Brooks’ brother Chase is making his way back to the states to play professionally.

Chase Koepka’s golf journey is far different than his brother Brooks. While Brooks seems to have had a relatively simple path to the PGA TOUR, where he’s now become a dominant force, brother Chase has been struggling and taking a longer road to get to the top tour in golf. And now, after several years overseas, Chase is coming home for the Korn Ferry Tour.

Chase Koepka has had an interesting career thus far, even if it hasn’t been as successful as his brother. The older of the two, Chase at 25 has had some experience on both the European Tour and the Challenge Tour and that experience ended up putting him within the top 300 golfers in the world. But then he lost his European Tour card two years ago and didn’t have the best showing on the Challenge Tour since.

Despite the recent challenges, Chase is now closer to the PGA TOUR than he has ever been. After playing four rounds for the Q-School, Koepka performed well enough to earn conditional status to the Korn Ferry Tour. So it looks like he’ll have at least a few events to show what he’s got and from there, he could skyrocket into a full status that could help him land a PGA TOUR card. And Chase thinks being back in South Florida will be a huge help.

“Being in that area is huge,” Koepka said. “Being able to call up a few guys and get a game going. Also, being close to my family is going to be huge for me. Last three years, my parents have seen me play twice. My girlfriend has seen me play three times. It’s been tough on them not getting to see me play.

Me doing 8-10 week stretches over there [in Europe], it’s tough. It was tough for me mentally. I wasn’t really playing well. To be back in the States, it’s going to allow me to mentally re-focus. And hopefully I can get out to the PGA Tour as fast as I can.”

I have a feeling that younger brother Brooks might be able to help out now that Chase is back home too. Regardless, it will be up to Chase to take this opportunity to try and make the leap to the PGA TOUR. Only time will tell if he’s able to make that leap.
