SPOTTED: Justin Rose’s New Miura Irons
Justin Rose has taken an interesting equipment path in recent years. As a few may remember, Rose spent 20 years with TaylorMade and, in early 2019, abruptly decided to part ways and team up with Honma, a Japanese brand that, at the time, was trying to aggressively grow its US presence. That endeavor, however, didn’t last, as Rose parted ways with Honma less than 1 ½ after kicking things off.
Since then, Rose has shuffled things in and out of his bag, including Titleist TSi, TaylorMade Stealth, Callaway Rogue ST and Cobra RAD Speed metalwoods, Titleist and TaylorMade irons, and Vokey wedges. But it appears that Rose’s newest addition may be the most droolworthy.

Instagram account Tour Validated, which falls under the 8AM Golf brand that also owns True Spec Golf, GOLF.com / GOLF Magazine, and Miura Golf, debuted Monday evening Rose’s newest irons—a custom collab Miura setup that appears to be equipped with KBS C-TAPERs and Lamkin Crossline grips. The brushed finish on the custom Miuras and C-TAPERs drips with TOUR sauce that us amateurs could only dream of wielding.
For those who aren’t familiar with Miura, the Japanese brand is arguably one of the most established manufacturers of premium forged irons. In fact, if you’re into golf lore, it’s rumored that Tiger Woods Titleist and/or Nike irons may have actually been forged by Miura.

Rose stands to be the second higher-profile golfer to leave behind a staff deal and add Miura irons to the bag.
Indeed, Adam Scott decided to complement his immaculate swing with custom Miura irons earlier this year after parting ways with Titleist.

Rose, who—as far as we know—still plays on the PGA TOUR, has not yet played in a 2022-23 event. During the 2021-22 calendar, Rose played in a handful of early events, including the CJ CUP, which just wrapped up and powered Rory back to World No. 1, as well as the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba, RSM Classic and Hero World Challenge. As a result, we can hope that Rose will be teeing it up soon with the new iron setup.
