SPOTTED: LA Golf x Bryson DeChambeau Driver in Prototype Phase
Over the summer, we highlighted that LA Golf—a relatively young company that is known for its golf shafts and putters—was getting into the equipment space and would be developing a new driver with 2024 U.S. Open Champion Bryson DeChambeau.

Barely 6 months later, it seems that what started as a wild idea is starting to take shape in physical form.
During a recently released video with Grant Horvat, Bryson teased a quick peak at the all-new driver head that, he stated, the first prototype head that he’s hit balls with.

While the teaser makes it very difficult to discern any details, it appears that the head—like his Krank Formula Fire—does not have any movable sole weights. That said, there does appear to be a (potentially adjustable) weight port on the rear, sole section of the club. It is also unclear whether or not the LA Golf driver features carbon or—like the Krank—a 100% titanium construction.
The latter seems more likely to withstand the abuse Bryson puts on equipment and avoid the potential weak point with glued carbon crowns and soles.
The only other discernible visual cues are Bryson’s logo on the toe of the driver and white face lines to help square up the ball at address.
LA Golf still claims that the driver will be here in 2025, which is only a few weeks away. It will be interesting to see, once officially released, how the new driver is designed to be “the first driver everywhere the face and shaft fit your swing,” as LA Golf is promoting.
