SPOTTED: The All New Shot Scope V3 Smart Golf Watch

There’s a good chance that you’ve seen a teaser pic somewhere on social media, especially with some of the pre-order recipients breaking them out on the course recently, but we can finally confirm that the Shot Scope V3 watch is here.

For those entirely unfamiliar with Shot Scope, the V3 Smart Golf Watch is the first multi-function watch to feature artificial intelligence and offer golfers real-time on-course performance tracking capabilities. The V3’s patented Power-Sense AI strap technology captures data on every shot, delivering golfers instant feedback to better understand their swing and reach optimal performance.

Much like the V2, the V3’s shot tracking function is powered by 16 lightweight plug-n-play club RFID tags that are embedded with smart GPS chips that easily screw into the butt-end of every club. And unlike other golf performance trackers, the V3’s Power-Sense AI strap technology delivers instant syncing, while enabling club recognition with no pairing, phone or tagging required. In other words, you could show up to the course, unbox your V3, screw in the RFID tags and have your Shot Scope ready to go in the time it takes you to walk from your car to the first tee.

In an effort to help ditch the unnecessary, golfers no longer are required to use a computer and, instead, can sync their V3 device over a Bluetooth connection with the free smartphone app. An interactive dashboard, which provides an aerial view of the course for a bird’s-eye view, enables the watch to capture and analyze over 100 tour level statistics on club distances and tee shots for measurable game improvement, while Shot Scope’s PinCollect technology records putt and pin location, capturing and analyzing approaches, short game and putting statistics. The abundance of invaluable and accurate data means that golfers can then go home, digest their round and pinpoint strengths and weaknesses with the help of the detailed performance data.

The GPS mode provides distances anywhere on the course, while the GPS+Track mode provides distances and automatic performance tracking during a round.
