With the win, Smith jumps up to second in the FedExCup standings and a personal best sixth in the Official World Golf Rankings.

“I feel as though one of these big events was the next step for me. I’ve knocked on the door a few times and just felt like it was now my time. I didn’t back down and never gave up. The games best players have won here so it’s pretty cool to have my name on the same trophy as them.”
