STYLE: The Best Affordable Nike Golf Shoes
Unless you’re buying second-hand, golf can be expensive. Clubs, membership, clothes – all add up to a pretty substantial bill. And where most people short themselves is in the shoe department. They either have 10 year old golf shoes, or they just wear their running sneakers on the course. Today, I came up with a few affordable golf shoes that are perfect for any golfer looking to stay on a budget.
Nike Roshe G Tour

(From Nike.com)
Simplicity, but from a name brand. Most golfers that want to stay on a budget, still want to be wearing a name brand – and it doesn’t get much bigger than Nike. These Roshe Tours are perfect. They are crazy comfortable, and a step up from their basic Roshe golf shoes, due to they actually have spikes on the bottom. Not only are these shoes great for amateur golfers, they’re also popular on TOUR. Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood both wear these on the course during most of their rounds.
If you’re lucky, this model is sometimes available at stores like Marshall’s, where they’re priced around $40. On Nike.com, they’re marked at $110 but they’re often on sale (you can get this exact shoe on Nike.com right now for 50% off).
Nike Vapor

(From worldwidgolfshops.com)
Another great Nike shoe. I’ve owned this model in the past, and it checked all of the boxes. I’ve never been a fan of the spike-less shoes, as I don’t think they provide the same level of stability and traction, so these were perfect. Not only that, they were very comfortable, and the spikes lasted a long time.
On WorldWideGolfShops.com, you can get this model (available in 2 color variations) for $50. That’s a crazy good deal for this shoe.
What To Look For
There are a few things I look for when buying golf shoes. Name-brand, and spikes. I gravitate to name brands because they’re going to last longer. I’ve tried smaller brands, for the cheaper price, and their durability is crappy. I prefer spikes because they’re better on the course. I get that people like spike-less because you can wear them into the bar after your round, but their performance on the course isn’t comparable. Plus, you can buy replacement spikes. This allows you to keep the shoes for longer, which is always a good thing.
Make sure to keep an eye out on apps like Ebay, Depop, and Poshmark – as you can always find good deals on golf shoes.
