The Memorial Tournament Recap: Warning, Tiger on the Loose in Ohio!

Tiger Woods is still a remarkable golfer, no question about it.  When Tiger wears red there is always a chance that you’ll witness brilliance on the golf course.  Tiger was in fact brilliant on his last 4 holes on Sunday at the Memorial Tournament.

This is the fifth time he has captured a victory here in Dublin, Ohio.

He hit almost every shot the way he wanted and was locked in for most of the round. He had the crowd screaming towards the end of the round as his golf precision began to kick in – evidenced by the chip he flopped in for birdie on 16.  Tiger was back, and so was the fist pump of old.

No one was thinking about a birdie on 16, not even Tiger.  After opening the clubface straight up, he stepped up and hit an uppercut flop.  The ball promptly fell in the right side of the cup.

Woods called that shot ‘one of the toughest shots he ever made, and he birdied three of his last four holes to close with a 5-under 67.

Woods tied Jack Nicklaus for career PGA Tour victories with 73. With 14 majors under his belt, Woods looks to grab number 15 as he heads to Olympic Club in San Francisco in 2 weeks for the US Open.
