The PGA TOUR’s flagship event has definitely been a little different this year compared to normal. Between all of the rain, wind, cold temperatures and delays, it has been quite the tournament. Due to all of those factors THE PLAYERS will be forced to finish up the third and final rounds on Monday.

Notable players to miss the +2 cut this week include Jason Day (+3), Marc Leishman (+3), Matt Fitzpatrick (+4), Talor Gooch (+4), Collin Morikawa (+4), Webb Simpson (+5), Patrick Cantlay (+5), Gary Woodland (+6), Jordan Spieth (+7), Xander Schauffele (+7), Tony Finau (+7), Brooks Koepka (+9), Matthew Wolff (+9), and last weeks Puerto Rico Open winner Ryan Brehm (+11).

A little over half way though the third round Anirban Lahiri is leading THE PLAYERs at 9-under. Tom Hoge and Harold Varner III are T2 at 8-under, Sebastian Munoz, Paul Casey, and Sam Burns are all T4 at 7-under to round out the top 5.

There are chances of rain showers tomorrow morning and it appears that the wind will also be up a little bit with expected wind gusts up to 20 MPH.

Golf Channel will have the entire final day coverage on Monday starting at 8 a.m. ET with the conclusion of the third round and then coverage of the final round starting at 1 p.m. ET.
