The United Grind: Golfer Shows Off How Airline DESTROYED Bag and Wedge

The United Airlines Grind is something Wesley Hunter, a Pro Golfer on the PGA Tour Latin America, knows all about, unfortunately.

While traveling to an event in Florida, Hunter retrieved his bags from the claim while getting off a flight from Houston, only to find his 56-degree wedge destroyed, his Stealth driver in two pieces, and his hard-shelled travel bag in relatively the same condition.

In what will now be known only as the United Airlines grind, Hunter will likely have to put a new wedge in his bag, and probably have to buy a new travel case for his clubs altogether.

Many of us have spent thousands of dollars on clubs and bags and other golf accessories and necessities that help us perform at our best. Knowing how many airlines handle luggage and other personal belongings across the board means golf clubs are a huge risk.

That’s why companies have come along and offered golf club shipping services to alleviate any worries people may have about shipping expensive clubs.

While what Wesley went through was bad, it was nothing compared to what another traveler had experienced back in 2019.

One word: Ouch.
