Tiger Woods has had one of the greatest careers in sports. He has 15 major championship wins, 82 victories on the PGA TOUR, and was just inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame last week.

Although Tiger doesn’t have anything else to prove, he has a new goal in his mind that he is not willing give up on without a fight.

A member of Tiger’s team confirmed to PEOPLE that this was his latest goal.

Sources say:

“He’s aiming for the 2023 Masters Tournament… And he has a new goal – to be the oldest winner at the Masters. Jack Nicklaus won when he was 46. Tiger will be 47 next year when he competes, and that’s the newest record he is going for. He’ll stop at nothing to accomplish it.”

They added:

“Tiger was known for his focus before, but now he’s learned to focus through terrible pain. And now that the pain has mostly faded, that focus is still there. He’s going to be a force when he returns to the game. He’s going to dominate.”

Let’s go! Huge news for Tiger fans that he isn’t just committing to playing on the PGA TOUR, but has goals of winning another Masters. I know Tiger has said he won’t play on TOUR again until he can compete and win but hearing from his camp that he has a goal in mind is huge. Tiger doesn’t like to miss his goals so look for Tiger dawning another green jacket in the fairly near future.

The other thing is, will Tiger even play before the 2023 Masters? We know he will play at the 2022 PNC Championship but what about the 2022 Masters or Open Championship? I guess it is going to be a waiting game but I think we can all agree that the sooner we see Tiger out on TOUR, the better.
