As we eagerly anticipate the launch of Tiger’s new apparel line, we know he is teeing it up this week at the Genesis Invitational. The apparel isn’t the only new thing in Tiger’s set-up, as he is playing at Riviera with a new caddie on the bag.

Joe LaCava has taken up full-time work with Patrick Cantlay, and his replacement is Tour veteran Lance Bennett. Adam Schupak of GolfWeek reports that Bennett has looped for guys like Sung-Jae Im and Davis Riley, as well as LPGA stars like Paula Creamer.

Bennet’s regular guy is Adrian Dumont de Chassart – who isn’t in the field and makes an easy switch for Bennet to fill the gap. It’s likely he will have a lot more eyes on him this week than usual.

Tiger will be making his first PGA Tour start since he withdrew from the Masters almost a year ago.

If the pairing goes well, Bennet might find himself on the bag for Tiger at further events like the Players or even the Masters in April. A new chapter is beginning for Tiger, and we’re excited to be along for the ride.
