Titleist GT Hybrids Review: One of These Could Change Your Game

Quick Breakdown of the New Titleist GT Hybrids

GT2 – The “Do-It-All” Hybrid

This one feels like the sweet spot in the lineup. GT2 gives you that classic hybrid look, but with a nice little bump in performance—ball speed, forgiveness, all of it. If you’re already rocking a hybrid you like, but you’re hunting for just a little more consistency, GT2 might be the move.

It launches strong, the mishits don’t punish you, and it just feels really balanced. Honestly, it’s the one we could see most people gaming without having to overthink it.  

This is the hybrid that ended up in my bag. But let me tell you about the others.

GT1 – High Launch, Big Forgiveness

GT1 is the big-body hybrid in the bunch. It kind of gives you that fairway wood vibe at address—definitely confidence-boosting if you like a larger head. The Titleist GT1 Hybrid is built to launch high, and it definitely accomplishes that mission.

In testing, even the toe strikes still got up in the air with solid carry, which was impressive. But for me, it spun a bit too much and wasn’t the right fit. That said, if you struggle to get the ball up or need something that helps you stop shots quicker on the green, GT1 could be your best friend. 

If you do fit into the GT1 but need a bit more adjusting to dial it in, the weights in this head adjust from front-to-back, which helps tweak launch and spin depending on what you need.

GT3 – Shotmaker’s Hybrid

I learned that this club is for the players who like to shape shots and want that compact, iron-like look at address. The GT3 hybrid is the lowest launching of the three, but what’s so cool about it is that it’s made to be worked left, right, high, low—whatever you need. It’s got a smaller footprint, and the weights are positioned to help dial in your strike and ball flight shape more than height.

If you’re a confident ball-striker or just prefer something that sits more like a long iron, GT3 may be what you fit into.

Final Thoughts

Titleist did a really solid job with this latest hybrid lineup. They didn’t try to reinvent the wheel with the GT’s, but they definitely gave fitters (and us players) way more tools to get dialed in.

The feel test is just as important as the numbers, and that is what I’m learning along this journey. It’s got feel good (and look good) to give you that much needed confidence we’re all chasing.

So whether you’re after height, forgiveness, less spin, or just a clean hybrid you can work both ways—there’s definitely an option in this lineup for you.
