TODAY: Empire State Building Set To Honor Arnold Palmer
The Empire State Building will be shinning a little bit brighter on September 10th when it changes colors in honor of the late Arnold Palmer. September 10th would have been Mr. Palmers 90th birthday. To honor the Arnold Palmer the Empire State Building will be lit in his official colors of Red, Yellow, White and Green will shine over New York City the way Mr. Palmers personality and caring nature shined on everyone who met him.

“My dad always said it was the greatest privilege to give back when possible, and the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation is a testament to that,” said Amy Palmer Saunders, Palmer’s daughter and Chair of the Arnold Palmer companies and the Foundation. Jon Podany, CEO of Arnold Palmer Enterprises and AWPF President said “Arnold Palmer brought a lot of light into this world, light that continues to shine brightly through the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation and the Palmer companies. This lighting is a strong statement of that, and to Palmer fans all over the world it’s a beautiful sight.”
Other Birthday celebration events include a display of 90 lit umbrellas in Arnold Palmer’s birth place, Latrobe, Pa. Mr. Palmer changed the world through golf. Through charitable contributions, the creation of the Golf Channel and his genuine good-hearted nature the world is better place because of Arnold Palmer.
