Torrey’s Unforeseen Hazard: Ian Poulter Takes Puff Of ‘Weed Smoke’ on 16

Despite the difficulty Ian Poulter probably expected to face during the US Open at Torrey Pines this week, nothing could have prepared him for what happened on 16.

Apparently, Poulter who was teed up and ready to go, was forced to back off of his shot because a “cloud of weed smoke blew through”

Poulter took a step back, joked a little bit, and he was off.

The question remains; How “high” did his tee shot get at its apex?
