TOUR NEWS: WGC Mexico Is Relocating To Florida In 2021, Internationally in ’22, ’23
The WGC down in Mexico is one of my favorite tournaments every year. Due to elevation, all distances go up 15%, and watching the guys bomb it off the tee all week is must-see TV. But that’s all changing.
According to multiple sources WGC Mexico is relocating to FL (likely Naples) for 2021, and then likely internationally in ‘22 and ‘23 as part of Euro Tour strategic alliance. 3 year deal w/ new sponsor.
Announcement likely this wknd. T’s and P’s up for Grupo Salinas & Geronimo.

According to Tron Carter (NLU), sources have told him that there is a new deal in place that will relocate the tournament. In 2021, the WGC will be in Florida, most likely the Naples area. After that, the tournament will move international, in accordance with the new Euro Tour strategic alliance.
TPC Chapultapec is a fantastic venue, and it’s a shame that the guys won’t be teeing it up there anymore. The fans were great, atmosphere was electric, and the field was always stacked. There is no news yet to what course it will be at this year in FL.
