Cherokee Valley Course and Club, located in Travelers Rest, S.C. (only 15 minutes outside the burgeoning small city of Greenville) is the one of the upstate-region’s premier golf destinations.

No. 11 Green

At the heart of Cherokee Valley is the 18-hole, 6,728-yard, par 72 “mountain” course designed by P.B. Dye that delights golfers with scenic water features, championship greens and fairways that carve through the mountain range.

No. 13 Fairway

Whether it’s a trip for traveling golfers or local groups in search of a golf vacation, Cherokee Valley offers a collection of on-site cottages featuring four master suites with one or two beds in each, five full bathrooms, great room and wrap-around porches.

The cottages are conveniently located just a few steps from the golf shop and first tee, giving a whole new meaning to “dew sweeping”. Full cottage rentals start at $400 and single rooms at $130, per night (tax not included).
