Update: Rose Zhang Breaks Her Own Scoring Record at Augusta National Women’s Amateur
If it wasn’t enough for the 1st round leader, Rose Zhang, to shoot 66 for a new single-round scoring record, she decided to break it again. Zhang bettered her score by one shot to turn in a scorecard of 65 with 6 birdies and an eagle. It is safe to say she is getting comfortable after three previous appearances at this tournament in which she finished T-17th (2019), T-3rd (2021), and T-12 (2022).

Currently, she holds a 5-shot lead at -13 over fellow competitor Andrea Lignell who went 67 and 69 in her first two rounds. The final round will be held at Augusta National on Friday, with coverage beginning at noon ET.
It will be a thriller with many good stories already developing, such as record holder Rose Zhang.

A younger competitor at 15, Gianna Clemente became the youngest competitor to make the cut in the history of the tournament.
She fired a 69 in round two to place herself T-9th. Former Champion Anna Davis, unfortunately, was not able to bounce back from the 4-shot penalty she took in the first round and missed the cut by two shots.

Can anyone catch Rose Zhang? It will be a hard task if she continues the outstanding play she has shown the first two days.
She might even take it lower in the final round.
