So, by now you’ve probably seen the video of Hideki Matsuyama’s caddie, Shota Hayafuji taking a respectful bow to the course after replacing the pin on the 18th hole at Augusta National.

The touching tribute by Hayafuji made waves throughout the golf world, and has quickly become what we coined, “The Lasting Image of the 2021 Masters Tournament.” The respectful bow signified a victory for Matsuyama and his team, a victory for the entire country of Japan, and a remarkable amen to the end to the first Major of the year.

On the flip side, the bow also signaled a beginning for Matsuyama and his squad; the beginning of a well deserved period of celebration, for the team, and for Japan.

With plenty to celebrate, Hayafuji was seen on Instagram celebrating with Team Matsuyama, minus the Masters champ himself.

A legendary selfie to cap off a legendary weekend, and a well deserved celebration. Just look at how happy they are! A slight contrast from the gracious bow we saw at the close of the tournament, but heart-warming just the same.

In some ways, the celebration is just as awesome as what happened on hole 18.

Congrats to Hideki, Shota, and the rest of the crew!
