VIDEO: Attempting Jack Nicklaus Famous 1 Iron Shot at Baltusrol
Jack Nicklaus is a legend…for a lot of reasons. But sometimes it takes a moment in someone’s shoes to really appreciate their accomplishments.
Recently we had a chance to do just that:
Attempting Jack Nicklaus Famous 1 Iron Shot at Baltusrol
Jack Nicklaus’ incredible 1 Iron shot on the 18th hole at Baltusrol in the 1967 US Open is truly the stuff of legends. Staring down Ben Hogan’s US Open Scoring record, Jack Nicklaus had to hit his 1 iron an incredible 238 yards up hill to reach the green.
Needless to say, I have an even deeper respect for Jack’s strength and ability after trying to pull that shot off.
