WATCH: Paul Casey Quadruple-Bogeys the 17th at TPC Sawgrass

Paul Casey quickly learned something we all know…the 17th at TPC Sawgrass can make or break your round.

The punishment caused Casey to go from -2 to +2 on the round, rocketing him down the leaderboard from T4 to T54.

Needless to say, it didn’t take long for the iconic hole to show its teeth. Now the infamous island green sits there awaiting its next victim.

UPDATE: Ben An says: “hold my beer.”

It’s only the first round and the 17th hole now boasts “the second-highest score ever on the 17th in the ShotLink era” after Ben An carded an 11.
