WATCH: PGA Tour Champions Winner Drops Trophy After Sunday Win
Steven Alker, a late bloomer in the world of golf, is having a career year at 51 on the PGA Tour Champions.
Alker won the Dominion Energy Charity Classic on Sunday—his fourth victory of the season—and is in like for the season-long Charles Schwab Cup.

While Alker has had the magic touch with the clubs this year, it didn’t extend to the trophy he won for winning on Sunday.
Despite the fumble, Alker would be a good bet to win the championship for what is known as the senior tour for the PGA. The circuit heads to the TimberTech Championship this weekend, which is where Alker notched his first win a year ago. After that, it’s the Charles Schwab Tour Championship in Phoenix.

With two events left, Alker has a large lead in the standings over Padraig Harrington, with Seve Stricker in third place. Bernhard Langer, last year’s series champion, is in seventh place.
