Sam Ryder stepped up to the 16th hole at the WMPO on Saturday and made the first hole-in-one on this hole in tournament play since Francesco Molinari 2015.

The celebration between Ryder and his caddie was awesome to see. Jumping into each others arms knowing that the shot is going to be a lifelong memory for Ryder and his family.

The fans in the stands around the 16th went absolutely nuts jumping around and throwing their beers down onto the hole showering everyone in beer. Cans and cups landed on the green, tee box, bunkers and other grassy areas on the hole.

I know the 16th is the “loudest hole in golf” but throwing trash down onto the hole is a little too far. It caused a delay in the tournament and caused volunteers to have to pick all of the trash up. Although, I do like the fans celebrating the ace maybe just hold off on throwing trash onto the hole.

What do you think of the celebration from the fans?
