You Won’t Believe the Measures Tiger Woods Is Taking to Prep for the Masters
The Masters is next week, and it appears that Tiger Woods will be playing in his second tournament of 2024 when the stars of the golf world descend upon Augusta, Georgia.
The tournament marks the one-year point when Woods had to withdraw during a soggy Masters a year ago and subsequently had surgery on his ankle.
According to a friend who disclosed Woods’ training routine to the New York Post, the 15-time major winner is taking a page out of George Costanza’s book: No sex until after the Masters.
“He’s focused. He’s working really hard in the gym. He’s eating right. He’s even eliminated sex.”
If you remember the popular “Seinfeld” episode appropriately titled The Abstinence, George’s girlfriend had mono and was unable to be with her for six weeks. During that time, George gets smarter, prepares a science presentation for his old school, and teaches himself Portugese.
George said that his mind not being distracted by the possibility of having sex made him able to have a sharper focus in other aspects of his life.
It appears that Woods is taking the same approach.
Now, if Woods could only do something about that ankle.
The Masters tees off next Thursday, April 11.
