Over the years, there have been quite a few characters to play on the PGA TOUR, from John Daly to most recently Andrew “Beef” Johnston. Zac Blair looks to be added to that list now after providing a good bit of entertainment at the Memorial Tournament this week.

Blair is currently in his third year on the PGA TOUR but he hasn’t won any tournaments as of yet, making him a bit of an unknown commodity. Blair wasn’t in contention for the Memorial either, but he did make shockwaves on the first day, having an interesting exchange with the designer of the course, none other than Jack Nicklaus.

After finishing his first round on the course, Blair decided to unwind by taking a relaxing dip in the locker room hot tub. As he was soaking, the Golden Bear walked through, stopped, and asked if Blair’s parents were around. Apparently, Blair was taking full advantage of that hot tub and Jack saw something that he wouldn’t wish to see again. But this wasn’t the end of the Zac Blair saga.

After the hot tub incident, Blair was able to go out for his second round and shoot a 71, putting him in a tie for 58th. That was the exact number that he needed to make the cut and remain in the tournament for the weekend. And who did Blair decide to thank for helping him survive past the cut line? It wasn’t his family or his friends but rather a random seller on eBay.

Blair revealed in a tweet that the FootJoy shoes that he wore on the course for the round were a pair that he had purchased on eBay. Normally, pro golfers would get their shoes from a more professional shop but Blair had no problem going to the second-hand route. In fact, he later tweeted again with pictures of other vintage FootJoy spikes that were available to bid on.

While Blair didn’t really compete at all in the Memorial Tournament he certainly provided a good bit of entertainment for the golf world, and here’s hoping he continues that fun throughout the rest of the season.
