21 Savage Shows Off Awful Swing At TopGolf
This week at the Safeway Open, there will be many celebrity golfers coming out to participate in the pro-am and show that they’re actually pretty good golfers. Rapper 21 Savage will not be one of those participants anytime in the near future.
Golf and rap music really isn’t the best mix and the two worlds are often seen as polar opposites. So if you don’t know much about the rap world, 21 Savage is one of the newer performers to hit the music scene in the past few years. And you may even recognize him from the news, when he was almost deported for overstaying his green card allowance from the United Kingdom.
But 21 Savage is still here in America and he’s enjoying TopGolf just as much as anyone else in the country. A recent video came out on social media of Mr. Savage taking some swings at a local TopGolf and has quickly gone viral for how bad it was. You may remember the video of another rapper, Lil Pump, from a few months ago showing awful form but 21 Savage’s might be even worse.

If you watch the whole video, Savage looks to have poor alignment from the start but his actual swing is what really gets you. Think about how Adam Sandler swung at a ball in Happy Gilmore and just combine that without having a running start and that’s basically the guy’s swing. He even slips at the end and almost falls down. But to his credit, it looks like he actually hit the ball pretty far even though it had zero accuracy.
This isn’t to say that all rappers are as bad as 21 Savage and Lil Pump though as there are a few guys out there who could put up strong showings on the course. Rapper ScHoolboy Q, for example, talked about how he plays almost every day and went from not even knowing what a birdie was to make one in only the third round he ever played.

So perhaps there is some hope for 21 Savage to improve his game like ScHoolboy Q has. But until he can work on that form, don’t expect him to be teeing up anywhere outside of TopGolf in the near future.
