With the majors wrapping up and the Olympic tournament taking place next week, the race for the FedEx Cup playoffs has taken a backseat, but it’s huge for several golfers, nonetheless.

After next week’s Olympics event, only the Wyndham Championship will determine the top 70 who will advance to the FedEx St. Jude Championship, which starts on Aug. 15.

This week, perhaps the FedEx Cup points were more valuable than the prize money, which totaled $8.3 million for the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota.

As is the case for most events this year, the purse is a tournament record. The event began in 2019 with a purse of $6.4 million. It was bumped up to $7.5 million in 2022 and $7.8 million last year.

Here’s what Jhonattan Vegas got for winning this weekend’s tournament along with the other top finishers.

1st – $1,458,000 – Jhonattan Vegas

2nd –  $882,900 – Max Greyserman

T3 – $477,900 – Maverick McNealy, Matt Kuchar

5th – $332,100 – Taylor Pendrith

T6 – $273,375 – Kurt Kitayama, Patrick Fishburn
