TRENDING: Norman, SGL Strike Back at PGA TOUR, ‘Bully’ Commissioner
The drama surrounding the Saudi-backed Super Golf League (SGL) refuses to die down.
Starting with the rumors of the SGL poaching Bryson and continuing with Phil’s salacious statements, that he’s now attempted to walk back, the SGL is starting to overshadow the PGA TOUR events themselves.

Greg Norman, who’s leading LIV Golf Investments’ Saudi-backed efforts to start the SGL, has decided that now it’s his turn to get involved and advocate for the rival league.
In response to PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan’s claim that any defectors would face a lifetime ban from the PGA TOUR, Norman authored a letter to Monahan that ended with:
“This is just the beginning. It is certainly not the end.’’

The letter, which was leaked on social media, begins by stating that Monahan must be joking by “threaten[ing] the players on the PGA TOUR,” with the lifetime ban, and that the “bullying and threat[s]” have gone too far and, are “likely in violation of the law.”
Greg Norman has now penned a rather intense letter to PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan:
It starts: “Surely you jest. And surely, your lawyers at the PGA Tour must be holding their breath.” pic.twitter.com/kkJhR5CvRu

The letter continues by making reference to some unsupportive comments by the former chief attorney for the Federal Trade Commission and making reference to unfair labor practices.
The pithy, 2-page communication more or less confirms that even after Phil’s foot-in-mouth comments, the SGL is not going away.
