The PGA Tour has officially denied players’ requests to play in the new LIV Tour.

This may change careers for some that might decide to face the consequences and tee it up only on the LIV Tour. However, it might be worth it for the journeymen that could use the steady paycheck from the LIV tour events.

PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan made it very clear that any players who sign up for the Saudi Golf League will lose their PGA TOUR membership and will never be welcomed back. With this in mind, it may not be worth it for some of the players that are in the later stages of their careers without a solidified tour in the LIV.

Time will tell what players decide to do, whether to take the risk and play the event in London, on June 9th or lay low until there is a compromise between the two parties in the near future. This will only be a repeating action this season as players will need to seek permission by May 17th for the second LIV tournament that is going to be held on July 1st in Portland, Oregon.

Stay tuned.
