Tiger Woods Took One Day Off After the Masters to Resume Rehab
This just in: Tiger Woods is a machine.
Fourteen months after being in a serious car wreck that almost led to the amputation of a leg, Woods played in the 2022 Masters. After opening with a 1-under 71, he shot a 74 on Friday before stumbling to back-to-back 78s over the weekend to finish in 47th place.

Tiger said:
“There was a huge lull—Monday. That was it… It was not fun. It hurt. Ice baths and just trying to get the swelling out of there. Then we went back at it; leg day on Tuesday.”
Woods says in the month since Augusta, he’s been able to practice a bit longer each day and his days have been more positive. Over the past few weeks, he’s also played quite a bit of Southern Hills, where he won the PGA Championship the last time it was staged here in 2007.
The 15-time major champion will tee off at 9:11 a.m. Eastern time on Thursday with playing partners Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth.
