The current economic climate isn’t exactly friendly, but that isn’t stopping or even slowing down Club Champion from continuing on its aggressive expansion plan for 2022.

Nearing its twelfth year of business, Club Champion is recognized as the top custom club fitter in the USA and has recently expanded beyond domestic borders to claim the title worldwide. Club Champion offers Tour-quality club fittings and custom-built clubs for every level of golfer.

Each state-of-the-art fitting studio houses over 50,000 hittable head and shaft combinations from over 60 golf manufacturers, alongside the best technology and talent the industry has to offer. Club Champion’s brand-agnostic approach has propelled them from a regional business to an award-winning international chain on an unprecedented growth trajectory.

Adam Levy, Club Champion CEO said:

“We’ve come out of the gate strong in 2022… It began with establishing a new operational facility in Arizona and has continued through acquiring massively successful international brands and adding support and leadership across the organization. On the heels of all that, we’re now expanding our build facility here in Willowbrook, IL. The first two quarters of 2022 have been a huge victory for our team.”

The international expansion has made waves in recent months, with names like Tour Experience Golf (TXG) joining the Club Champion family. Golf Principles in the United Kingdom, and PureForm Golf in Australia joining forces with one of America’s top fitters and club builders. These partners share Club Champion’s brand agnostic fitting philosophy and now, the potential for growth in their respective regions is unlimited.

The warehouse expansion at the Willowbrook, IL headquarters features a major upgrade of space and work capability. The new warehouse is more than 26,000 square feet and features upgraded facilities and systems to streamline and optimize the build process from start to finish.

The increased demand that led to the HQ expansion also prompted the construction of a brand-new space in Tempe, AZ. This new 34,000 square-foot facility will handle the club building operations for the western and southern regions of the US.

Levy said:

“Our footprint is growing so our capabilities here in the build shop and beyond needed to keep pace… It feels like we’re adding something new every day but that’s what helps motivate us. We know we’re serving hundreds of thousands of golfers and these new additions help us provide even more incredible experiences for our clients.”

Ideally, these additions should mean orders get into customers’ hands and, more importantly, on the course faster than even before!

Additionally, Club Champion has added a few key people to the team:  CFO, Jon Reepmeyer; VP of Sales, Mike Glienke; Director of Operations (Willowbrook), David Hefling; Director of Operations (Tempe), Curt Cather; Director of Digital, Kevin Iaquinto; and Director of Human Resources, Carol Kozlowski.

The cherry on top of this expansion is the company’s domestic growth, since Club Champion’s roots are here in the USA. The fitter will open its 100th store in Q2 as well as celebrate the opening of a brand-new flagship studio concept on 42nd Street in New York City.

Levy said:

“When our founder Nick Sherburne started this ride, one hundred stores felt like a pipedream… Here we are, just over a decade later, talking about the next phase and seeing that anything is attainable so long as you keep your core purpose in mind. For us, that’s upgrading the equipment and on-course experience of passionate golfers who want to play their best golf.”

Ever since golf became a competitive outlet, nothing brings Eric more joy than a well struck 4 iron. And despite living in NYC, Eric makes it a priority to work on his game and fitness during the week, along with a round or two over the weekend. Fortunately, he’s got a very understanding fiancé who (for the time being) accepts him and his obsession. Follow Eric on IG @hozel_rocket.
