Golf fans appear to think that Brooks Koepka has taken a jab at Rory McIlroy after a TMZ report revealed the Northern Irish golfer filed for divorce from his wife of seven years earlier this week.

We reported that McIlroy had filed for divorce from Erica Stoll earlier today, as the PGA Championship is just two days from kicking off.

Golf fans were surprised to hear about the filing, which McIlroy did in the State of Florida on Monday.

Evidently, golf fans also think Brooks Koepka is using the announcement as ammo to get into McIlroy's head, as an Instagram post from the defending PGA Champion seemingly was viewed as a "troll post."

Koepka captioned the post:

"So proud of you @jenamsims amazing to see what hard work can do! I love you!"

Personally, I did not see it as anything but a husband being proud of his wife, who landed in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition just months after giving birth to the couple's first child.

However, many saw it as a jab at Rory:

Things got even more interesting as McIlroy's ex-fianceè, Caroline Wozniacki, commented on the picture of Jena:

Comments from others on the post read:

"Well well well he saw the divorce files."

"Let the mind games begin."

"Oh he's trying to get in Rory's head early."

Koepka and McIlroy have remained friends for years, even through the LIV Golf drama. In fact, Rory was among the first to congratulate Koepka after bringing home the Wanamaker last year at Oak Hill:

Was Koepka using the news of McIlroy's divorce filing as ammo to play mind games with McIlroy? I'm not so sure. Even if they were less than cordial, bringing a family breakup into the mix seems like a low blow.

What do you think?
