Tiger Woods Has Made His Decision on 2022 U.S. Open
Tiger Woods will not be participating in the 2022 U.S. Open at Brookline. Tiger’s leg is not healthy enough to tee it up at golf’s third Major of the year. Woods recently had to withdraw after three rounds of play at the PGA Championship.
Rarely do we see him withdraw as he usually battles the on course pain, however it happened just last month as we saw the great pain he was going through.

Tiger hopes to be ready for the Open Championship at the home golf, St. Andrews. Woods has 3 Open Championships total in his career looking for something special, possibly coming at a course he loves.
He has won twice at St. Andrews in 2000 and 2005 with only 4 other golfers to achieve this feat including Jack Nicklaus. 2005 was also the year he completed the career grand slam twice.
We are likely to see Tiger play the JP McManus Pro-AM starting July 4th to get a bit of practice across the pond in Ireland. The following week July 14th will feature the first round of The Open Championship at St. Andrews which Tiger will have to assess his leg and if he feels that he is physically able to play.
Given the circumstances and history, it is likely that Tiger will battle it out at the 150th Open Championship.
