Unless you are new to golf or have been completely avoiding golf content for months you are well aware of the Phil Mickelson saga. His super likable image took a massive hit after golf media mainstay Alan Shipnuck shared some things that Phil may have thought were off the record.

Shipnuck may have tried to smooth things over when Phil made his first start on the all-new LIV tour but, he had already pissed enough people off and the LIV wasn’t taking any chances. He was removed from close contact by some LIV “goons” under the watchful eye of Greg Norman.

But it’s US Open week and Phil is back on Shipnuck’s turf. Well, when it comes to the confidence to ask any question he wants without fear of being booted anyway.

Phil walked into the media tent and the crafty Shipnuck asked a simple question to Phil.

Watching this, it looks like Phil may have wanted to respond with a few other words, but he was respectful. I’m guessing that Shipnuck and Phil’s encounters are far from over this week.

It sure If he will get a chance to press Phil anymore but for our entertainment, I sure hope he does.

Ed started playing golf when he was 18. It started out as a hobby and something he liked to do but by 2014 it had turned into a full blown obsession. Since then Ed has committed himself to improving and learning more about the game. He doesn’t work in the golf industry, he’s not a teaching pro, he’s a guy who just loves the game and enjoys sharing his thoughts with others who share the same passion.
