Presidents Cup: Davis Love III Adds Spieth, Morikawa Among Wild-Card Picks
The lineups for the Presidents Cup later this month are now set, as U.S. team captain Davis Love III announced his six wild-card picks.
The six are: Jordan Spieth, Collin Morikawa, Max Homa, Billy Horschel, Cameron Young, and Kevin Kisner.

Five of the six have won on the PGA Tour over the past two seasons (Young the only exception), and all but one (Kisner) also made the Tour Championship in Atlanta two weeks ago.
Homa, Horschel, and Young are all playing for the U.S. in team competition for the first time. Kisner was on the 2017 Presidents Cup team and didn’t lose a match, and he’s also excellent in a match-play format, winning the WGC Match Play in 2019 and finishing runner-up on two occasions (2018 and ’22).
Young had several runner-up finishes this year and is expected to be the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.
They join automatic qualifiers Scottie Scheffler, Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele, Sam Burns, Justin Thomas, and Tony Finau.
The International Team—headed up by Trevor Immelman—was completed on Tuesday. The team was unable to pick top international stars like Cameron Smith and Joaquin Niemann due to their recent defections to LIV Golf, leaving the U.S. team as a heavy favorite (-500 at DraftKings).
The Presidents Cup takes place from Sept. 22-25 at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.
