TRENDING: TikTok Influencer Facing Legal Troubles for Grand Canyon Stunt
A few days ago, we posted an article about TikTok Influencer Katie Sigmond hitting a golf ball into the Grand Canyon. Although it appeared to be significantly more innocent than Evel Knievel trying to jump a motorcycle across the national monument, it doesn’t appear that she’ll be spared any headaches.

On October 27, the Grand Canyon Law Enforcement—likely a branch of the federal government—announced that it would be bringing charges against Katie for hitting the ball into the canyon near Mather Point.
According to Joelle Baird, a public affairs specialist for the Grand Canyon National Parks Service, Katie is facing three Class B misdemeanor charges that are “unlikely” to lead to any jail time but could be worth up to $1,000 in fines per offense. I’d imagine the government may also be interested in pushing the envelope to make an example of Katie and deter any other social media influencers from committing the same offense in exchange for a pricey “slap on the wrist” fine.
