A plane with 53 rescue dogs and three passengers crashed on a snowy Western Lakes Golf Club in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Thankfully, to everyone’s relief, the passengers and rescue dogs are injured, but not seriously.

Officials reported to FOX6 News that the call for the crash landing came in just after 9 a.m. The three adults aboard the aircraft suffered non-life-threatening injuries. They were taken to a nearby hospital for care. The 53 rescue dogs were also checked for injuries as well.

The debris field started on the golf course’s fifth hole. The wings were sheared off, likely by the trees that the plane had come into contact with. The plane’s fuselage (undercarriage) came to a screeching halt on top of the third hole.

Officials also noted that the emergency landing led to a significant jet fuel spill of roughly 300 gallons. The Wisconsin DNR responded to assist.

Jason Heltz, Western Lakes Golf Club general manager, said:

“I mean disbelief to start with, but obviously the first question is, is everybody okay? And thankfully the answer is yes.”

A maintenance worker also added that while they were in the maintenance shop, when it happened, it just sounded like a loud “thud,” and “everything shook.”

Due to obscurity and frightening pictures, thankfully, all involved will be returning safely to their homes.
