Bryson’s Ridiculous Bulking Diet Released!

Bryson DeChambeau has been a central part of the 2022 golfing season, despite a poor performance on the course. His return to a normal sized human has been fairly evident, he no longer carries the bloated look that accompanied his immense power off the tee. He finished 2nd in the recent World Long Drive tournament and that has been his best achievement since the 2020 US Open.

Golf Magazine’s Dylan Dethier has released a list of Bryson’s 2020 bulking diet, which has since been ridiculed by the golf world.

It does have some resemblance the world’s strongest man diets, or 10,000 calorie-a-day challenges.

This all stems from Brysons’ recent admission that his huge bulk was not the best way forward in his quest to master the sport using the driver.

On the 5 Clubs podcast he said he had eaten improperly for a year and a half and was ‘starting to feel weird’. His internals were massively inflamed, and his game definitely suffered, even leading the usually confident DeChambeau to state that he ‘had his C game’ out on the course.

He has since needed the help of a nutritionist; lots of blood work has been done and he has now leaned out significantly.

Patrick joined us in May 2022 with a strong passion for the game and a writing style to match. He is a good golfer, originally from Cumbria in the UK, and now living in British Columbia, Canada. He focuses on writing opinion pieces while keeping up to date with LIV Golf, Tour events and Major championships, providing good insights into the professional game. His best golf memories are shooting 72 with a double on 18, running the Golf Society at Lancaster University, and steering them to the first ever Varsity win against rivals York. His favorite club is his Scotty Cameron Newport 2.0, and his favorite event is the Masters!
