Speculation that Augusta National Golf Club was heavily damaged after the City of Augusta was hammered by Hurricane Helene is increasing, based on the damage seen.

Augusta was right on the path of the heart of the hurricane, which has started making its way up the East Coast today.

News so far is that 150,000 people are without power in the Augusta area. Many roads are heavily flooded and trees have been knocked down by the winds.

For what it’s worth, we saw significantly less severe storms impact AGNC, as The 2023 Masters were delayed by heavy rainfall.

Trees even fell during the tournament:

Residents nearby have even put up videos that Rae’s Creek is flooded, but this video is not confirmation that the course is underwater:

Others are indicating that employees at the course have already revealed many trees are down and the course is heavily damaged.
