One of LIV’s Biggest Winners Won’t Let President’s Cup Snub Bother Him

Talor Gooch is one of LIV Golf’s best players and biggest winners and despite his snub from the U.S. President’s Cup team due to his decision that forced him to leave the PGA TOUR last year, he won’t let his absence bother him.

During a recent sitdown with “Pardon My Take” and Barstool Sports, Gooch was transparent that him not playing at the event is pretty much a non-issue.

Gooch said he is not interested in causing more of a scene than the PGA TOUR-LIV Golf saga already has:

“I don’t like causing any chaos. So I’ll just let them do their thing.”

With the Ryder Cup certainly being the more sought-after team event in professional golf, it is unlikely Gooch truly cares about an event he doesn’t qualify for anyway.

It would be like Jon Rahm being upset he can’t play in the President’s Cup.

Nevertheless, it’s nice to see Gooch keep an even head about these kinds of things, especially seeing that he might have an opportunity to play one in the future.

As the PGA TOUR’s negotiations with the PIF continue to heat up, we will see if things transpire positively so there is more inclusion for LIV players.
