Jason Day Launches New Golf Content Super Group
When you think of content super groups, you think of amateur golfers—the Good Good, the Bryan Bros and Bob Does Sports, to name a few.
But what happens when a professional actually orchestrates the supergroup.

Major Champion and former World No. 1 golfer Jason Day announced on social media the start of a new golf content super group: The Lads.
The initial iteration of this group is comprised of Day, Ryan Ruffels, Jeg Coughlin III, Luke Reardon, Dash Day, and Asaeli Marika Batibasaga. And, as of this moment, there’s no YouTube channel, but one is supposedly coming in the near future. And to that point, there are also no clear signs of what this new supergroup will be doing—challenges, competitions, etc.
Little can be discerned that it will involve golf, and Malbon appears to have some—perhaps even unofficial—involvement. It will be very interesting to see how Day’s new endeavor goes, as the only two golfers to successfully jump into YouTube content happen to be on LIV: Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau.

That’s worth mentioning largely due to the unknown specifics on what (if any) media rights PGA TOUR members possess, which may be getting relaxed in an attempt to keep up with LIV’s apparent lack of restrictions. Indeed, Bryson and Phil have built considerable followings in recent through their repeated appearances on YouTube channels, like Grant Horvat’s.
Add in the fact that Rick Shiels—YouTube’s largest golf personality—confirmed last week that he’ll be working with LIV in 2025, and it’ll be very interesting to see if the PGA TOUR realized it’s time to (finally) loosen the reigns on its members and return some control over their media likeness.
