TPT Golf is Revolutionizing the Golf Shaft
I recently headed to Club Champion in downtown Chicago to get fitted for a new driver and shaft. This is where I was introduced to a new golf shaft manufacturing company called TPT Golf.
You may or may not have heard of them before, but I can tell you who has: the PGA TOUR.

Despite being in the shaft manufacturing business for just 18 months, TPT Golf already has six professional wins, including two PGA Tour wins in 2018 at the Farmers Insurance Open and Wells Fargo Championship.
What is just as impressive as their relatively silent integration into professional golf is the fact that they do not pay professionals to use their shafts. Which means the pros are actively choosing TPT Golf as their preferred golf shafts.
So what makes TPT Golf so special?
To answer that you have to talk about their origins. TPT Golf is a the golf division of a Swiss company called North Thin Ply Technology, or NTPT. Which still may not mean much until you realize what they specialize in.
NTPT has developed processes for producing yacht sales for America’s Cup, lightweight bodywork for Formula One cars, and even created materials found in satellites.
In other words, NTPT designs and manufactures products that must have consistent and exact specifications. And be repeatable.
So now back to TPT Golf.

By relying on their knowledge, experience, and capability in other fields, they have designed a manufacturing process that removes human error from the production of golf shafts. It’s made up of two parts, one called Thin-Ply Technology, and the other Thin-Ply Winding.
First, the Thin-Ply Technology, or, you guessed it, TPT, is the process the company uses to manufacture the carbon fiber material that will eventually make-up the TPT Golf shaft.
Thin-Ply Winding Method allows and ensures a perfectly concentric shaft with no seams. And it’s an automated process that allows it to be repeatable over and over again, creating an identical product every time.
No one else in the industry can say that today.

What all of that means is you get exactly what you paid for, regardless of when the shaft was manufactured. And the output shows up in one’s golf swing in the form of more sweet spot strikes along with a faster swing thanks to TPT’s bend profiles.
If you’re still unsure what all of that means. It means more distance with a tighter dispersion.

Case in point, I walked out of Club Champion fitted with a new M3 driver head combined with a TPT shaft that has added an average of 30 yards off the tee and is far more forgiving on mis-hits.
