I had a chance to see Vokey’s new Slate Blue finish up close in Orlando and wow is it sexy.

Aaron Dill Vokey Wedges Slate Blue

The Vokey 64T Slate Blue Limited Edition wedges which are available in 64° loft and 6° of effective bounce are the result of Bob Vokey and Aaron Dill’s work with Tour players preparing for the first major championship of 2019.  Aaron was a recent guest on The Golf Podcast, so be sure to check out that conversation when it drops on April 7th.

With The Masters around the corner, Tour players will be looking for an edge at Augusta. The 64T is set up perfectly to attack the elevated greens and tight fairways of Augusta National. The high loft will also give players trajectory needed to dominate those pure Augusta bunkers.

SLATE BLUE FINISH

At first I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about a slate blue finish on a wedge. But after seeing it, the slate blue finish is in-fact sharp looking, and aesthetically pleasing, which is important and wildly overlooked in my opinion. There’s even a non-glare finish, with the durability of the traditional chrome wedge that I’m accustomed too.

By the way, have you seen Jimmy Walker’s new wedges for the Masters?

In case you missed it, here’s when we first met the Slate Blue finish face-to-face.

Happy flag hunting!
