Man Bids $75,000 To Caddie For Tiger at HERO World Challenge
Tigermania is at an all-time high after his win at the Masters earlier this year and fans are looking to get involved in anything Tiger related. That’s where the TGR Foundation comes in, providing all fans an opportunity to live out their dreams with Tiger.
The Tiger Jam has been an annual event for a few years now and has raised upwards of $23 million for the TGR Foundation since its founding. Much of that money comes from the items and experiences that Tiger offers up for bidding at the event. And with Tiger rising back to the top of golf, these items are at a higher interest level than the past few years.
Not all of the offers involve Tiger, however. For example, this year, Tiger offered the chance to see Janet Jackson in concert, play poker with NBA Star Russell Westbrook, and more. There are several Tiger specific things to bid on, mostly meet and greets, but the most exciting experience is a chance to caddie for Tiger at an event.

Typically, you would expect for caddies to ask for more money from tips but people were going crazy to get the gig. The winning bid ended up being $75,000, which broke the event’s previous record bid of $50,000 to caddie for Tiger last year. The winner now gets to tote Woods’ bag at the Hero World Challenge Pro-Am in December.
As for Tiger’s regular caddie, Joe LaCava, he’s not completely off the hook. While he won’t be carrying the bag, he will still walk around with Tiger and give some tips to Woods and his new caddie. So even though he won’t get the weekend off, I’m sure that he’ll appreciate taking the weight off his shoulders, literally and figuratively.
There’s still a long way to go until that event happens so Tiger will continue to focus on winning more majors. And if he does end up building on his success, that lucky fan will have a lot to talk about when he carries Tiger’s bag.
