FIRST LOOK: Bushnell Tour V5/Tour V5 Shift and Wingman GPS Speaker
Orlando, FL – It’s the Monday of the 2020 PGA Show week and I’m on site to check out all of the hottest golf gear for the new season. Most non-golf club surprises usually wait until the first day of the actual show on Wednesday to debut their newest products for 2020, but it seems that Bushnell couldn’t wait another 48 hours to introduce their two newest products:

Bushnell, maker of the #1 laser rangefinder on the PGA Tour, never seems to release with updating its products and providing the best in class options. For 2020, Bushnell will be adding the brand new Tour V5 (pictured with the grey and black color scheme) and Tour V5 Shift (pictured with the grey, black and red color scheme) to its lineup.
“Golfers look to us to provide the most accurate distance readings on the course to perform at their highest level,” said Derek Schuman, Senior Brand Manager at Bushnell Golf. “We are constantly innovating and developing new technologies, and with the addition of our BITE magnetic cart mount, Visual JOLT and our updated slope algorithm in the Tour V5 Shift, we continue to provide golfers the products they need to increase their confidence and play better golf.”
With respect to BITE, both the Tour V5 and Tour V5 Shift will be equipped with a magnetic mount that allows the rangefinder to be secured to a golf cart without the need for any aftermarket accessories. To help ensure the rangefinder doesn’t fall off when you take that bump on at full speed, BITE technology requires a 7 lbs. of pull to disconnect it.
In addition, Bushnell’s JOLT Technology vibrates when it locks onto the pin to confirm the target distance, helping ensure that you’re not accidentally shooting the trees 30 yards in the background.
In addition to BITE and JOLT, the Tour V5 and Tour V5 Shift will both be equipped with 6x magnification to help see everything you target within the 5 to 1,300 yard performance range (over 400 yards to a flag), which will consistently accurate within 1 yard. The new optics are clearer and nearly two-times brighter than previous generations, which is further complemented by the the Fast Focus system that provides golfers with the ability to further adjust the optics to provide further sight clarity.

The Tour V5 Shift will also be equipped with a new, improved slope algorithm and Slope-Switch Technology, which allows you to easily (and visibly) disable the slope function to make the Tour V5 Shift legal for tournament play (which is a must for anyone who plays competitively).
Both the Tour V5 and Tour V5 Shift are rain proof and backed by a two (2) year warranty that helps protect your investment. The Tour V5 and Tour V5 Shift will be available at retailer’s nationwide beginning in late-March at $299.99 and $399.99, respectively.
And in the event that you’re not a rangefinder person and, instead, prefer to utilize a GPS system or simply enjoy listening to some tunes on the golf course, Bushnell is also releasing the Wingman GPS Speaker, an all-in-one device that provides music and audible distance information.

With golfer appealing more and more to an audience who enjoys playing their round with a soundtrack, the Wingman combines GPS and Bluetooth technologies to provide golfers with audible front, center and back distances while listening to their favorite playlist, radio station or episode of The Golf Podcast.
“Golfers are always looking for a competitive edge, while still trying to have fun. We are excited to introduce a product that will allow them to enjoy themselves on the course, while providing them with the functions of a distance measuring device,” said William Flood, Bushnell Golf Product Manager. “With its ability to play music and provide the GPS data golfers rely on, the Wingman GPS Speaker is unlike any other product in the industry, and we are thrilled to add it to the Bushnell Golf family.”
After Bluetooth pairing the Wingman to your cell phone, golfers can listen to music and, at the push of a button on the Wingman remote, be provided with GPS distances courtesy of the Bushnell Golf App, which will automatically advance to the next hole.
Additionally, the Wingman is equipped with BITE technology that allows you to attach the speaker to the golf cart—where it can maximize its audio dispersion—without any accessories. Furthermore, the Wingman’s battery is good for more than 10 hours of battery (at least 2 rounds), which is great as the Wingman also allows you to charge other devices from it without fear of dying on a full charge.

The Wingman GPS Speaker will be available at Bushnell retailers nationwide beginning in April at a retail price of $149.99. As a result, get everybody from your regular foursome to pony up some cash and chip in for a speaker that will provide you with some music, GPS distances and charge your phones (which will be perfect for that round when you had too many drinks the night before and forgot to plug your phone in).
